Finca Buena Vista is a 2nd generation farm in the Jalapa region managed by father and son. They are recognized by the Nacional Association of Coffee in the Jalapa region and are currently innovating drying techniques by using their own raised beds located at the farm following fruit fermentation and mill processing at the nearby beneficio called Conception. Jalapa produces approximately 20% of Guatemala’s harvest.

Guatemala is currently 10th largest coffee exporter by volume in the world and has over 100 years of specialty coffee history along with over 300 recognized micro climates and volcanic highlands with favorable conditions for an array of most desirable cup attributes.

Catuai is a hybrid between Yellow Caturra and Mundo Novo. It was developed by Instituto Agronômico de Campinas (IAC), that is based in Brazil. Yellow Catuai, also known as Catuai-amarelo, has a rich yield and is well-known for this fact. Next to Yellow Catuai there is also Red Catuai – Catuai-vermelho.
